SAMPS 2022 Fall Conference

LIVING WELL WITH MYELOMA

The Southern Alberta Myeloma Patient Society will host a virtual one-day Myeloma Patient Conference, Living Well with Myeloma, on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This Conference will be open to all Myeloma patients, caregivers, and family members living in Alberta, and anyone else interested in attending. No registration fee.

  • Q&A sessions

  • Health and wellness kinetic exercise

PRESENTERS

  • Dr. Paola Neri, Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, attending physician in the Hematology division at the University of Calgary

  • Dr. Nizar Bahlis, Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Calgary in the division of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation

  • Dr. Victor Jimenez-Zepeda, Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Calgary and Clinician Scientist for the Tom Baker Cancer Centre

  • Anna Giulione, Clinical Research Nurse at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, will present "Understanding Clinical Trials"

  • Martine Elias, Executive Director, Myeloma Canada, will speak about the Myeloma Canada Programs

  • Dr. S. Nicole Culos-Reed, Professor, Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary, will present Move More: The value of movement for living well with Myeloma
