Volunteer Your Time and Talent
The Southern Alberta Myeloma Patient Society (SAMPS) would like to encourage its members and their families to volunteer with SAMPS. If you or someone you know has the time and interest, we would love to have you join our team. SAMPS is always looking for volunteers to help out either as Members of our Board or as part of a sub-committee. Not only is there a variety of areas to work in but you may volunteer as much or as little as you want. As the saying goes, “Many hands make light work”.
What are the benefits of volunteering?
Through volunteering, you will meet new people and have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those living with Multiple Myeloma. By taking what you have learned from your own experience with Myeloma, you will be able to provide new insights into how we can make an even greater impact.
There are many areas we need help in such as Administration, Advocacy and Awareness, Education, Communications, the newsletter, and fundraising events. Your unique experiences, ideas and willingness to help out will allow SAMPS to continue to grow as an organization, providing our members will not only support but hope for brighter future.
