Scott Patterson is the Centre Manager for Wellspring Alberta’s Carma House. Scott has worked in Canada, the United States, and Scotland, before returning to Vancouver to pursue his degree in Nursing. During his time at Lionsgate Hospital, he worked in orthopedics, neurology, emergency, and general medicine. His passion in nursing was Hospice and Palliative care.
More recently Scott was the Director of Wellness for two different assisted living care homes. With this he was part of a team to bring the first private facility within Alberta to embrace and use the Butterfly Model of Care for those living with dementia. He believes there is a lot more to healing for the individual, their families and loved ones than medication alone.
This philosophy aligns perfectly with Wellspring Alberta to ensure that no one has to face cancer alone.
Wellspring Alberta is a registered charity offering free programs and support for anyone living with cancer and those who care for them.
