Every year in July, SAMPS has traditionally held a very important fundraiser in support of Myeloma research at the University of Calgary and increasing awareness of Multiple Myeloma. For the past three years, it has been a virtual challenge with SAMPS members, family & friends doing any challenge they wish to do and obtaining donations for completing their challenge. Here are some ideas:
· Walk, run, swim or bike a certain distance
· sew, read a certain number of books
· knit for the homeless
· make meaningful greeting cards
Do what you enjoy doing and make a difference in the fight against Myeloma at the same time!
This year the Challenge continues to provide a virtual component, but if you wish to walk in-person, some of us plan to walk or run on the pathway through the natural settings in Tuscany, should you decide to join us. Think of a challenge you wish to do, form a team or set your own individual goal, get involved and have fun!
