Honouring Clint Dunford

We were sorry to learn that Clint Dunford passed away on October 14, 2021. We offer condolences to his family.

Clint was well respected and dedicated many years to public service, elected as MLA for Lethbridge West four times. He served in several high profile cabinet positions, and ushered in benefits we appreciate today such as the child health benefit and one year maternity leave.

Clint was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in November 2005, and continued his work while undergoing treatments until 2008.

In February 2021, he generously sat down with SAMPS to share some of his experiences and reflections 16 years post-diagnosis. His open and candid manner was greatly appreciated, and we encourage you to watch the interview on our YouTube channel.
